Analysing poem Poems have been in English literature for hundreds of years. Children’s poems often have a moral in them. Roald Dahl children’s author, like to use morals in his poems. His poem ‘The Porcupine’ also has a moral in it. Although ‘The Porcupine’ is the clearly for children, there is a deeper meaning implied about karma. Firstly, Roald Dahl suggests that people should share and not be greedy. By not sharing and being greedy, you will get punished for it. In Roald Dahl poem ‘The porcupine’ it said “beyond the wood, behind the rock”. It shows that she is hiding just to eat her chocolates and in this quote, it has a scent of rush in it. And the quote” A super place” indicates that she is greedy and she hides to eat and that tone that Roald Dahl has implied say that she is happy to eat alone.
