Two Princesses on the Same Path The movies Beauty and the Beast and The Princess and the Frog were released in different centuries set in entirely different places, but follow a nearly identical story line. These hand drawn, animated movies follow a similar pattern for theme, and main characters. They both tell the story of a young girl who meets a spoiled prince, and as she teaches him manners or responsibility they fall in love. In the foundation of the movies there are few differences, but the ones that are there lie in the setting, and character development. These Disney films deal with themes of dreams, magic, and finding love. Both girls have what the towns people consider to be crazy ambitions in life. Belle wants to explore the world and be educated, while Tiana wants to own her own restaurant. At the end each girl archives their goal through unexpected ways. There is also magic in each movie that is true to the setting and used to transform the princes, who only wanted to party, into more humbling forms. The transformation taught Adam from Beauty and the Beast that wants inside person is what matters, and Naveen the importance of working for the things you want. Through this both learn to love.
