Well-known children’s author Dr.Seuss said, “A person is a person no matter how small.” It is too bad that not everyone views the life of a child like Dr. Suess did. Most people say that a child is not considered living until the child is born. People who are pro-life might answer that by saying that in Psalm 193:13 it says that, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.” (Bible) Which means that a child is considered living the moment it is conceived. Another illogical law is that abortion is still legal as long as the baby is still attached to the mom. (debate on abortion) The baby could be halfway out of the womb, and it would still be considered legal. That law does not make sense because the baby could be born within the next 30 seconds to 1 minute and it will then be considered illegal to conduct an abortion. (dictionary) That is exactly what abortion is. The baby doesn’t have a say in whether or not it dies. Just like in murder the victim doesn’t know what’s coming. In 38 states there are actually laws against feticide. They call it a double homicide. With that law comes many questions from people who are pro-life. Questions such as why is it that abortion is not considered murder when the mom decides to kill the baby, but when another person other than the mom kills the baby or both the mom and baby are killed, the killer gets charged with a double homicide. That question is a very valid question, and it proves that our government is extremely indecisive when it comes to the topic of abortion. Either abortion is murder, or it is not murder.
