American football, also known as football to gridiron, is controlled and ran by the NFL (National Football League). Football is a sport played with two teams each consisting of eleven players and one oval shaped ball – the football. Football is played on a rectangle field with goal posts at each end. Each team take turns playing the offense or defense role. The offense side has control of the call while the defense side try to stop the offensive side from scoring. Scoring happens when the offensive side reaches the end zone of the opposing team; this is known as a touchdown.
