Testing on animals has helped by saving many lives and finding many cures to diseases, in the past one hundred years we have made remarkable progress due to the testing on animals. In a studied it was showed that since we were using animals for medical testing it helped to create the polio vaccine, this helped to reduce the disease globally from 350,000 to 223 cases in 1988. It has not only done this yet also helped advance studies in breast cancer, childhood leukemia, etc. (Animal Testing). So after hearing this I ask you if it were you or someone you cared about dearly who were in need of help, would you be complaining if they found a cure from testing on animals? I believe the majority would say yes, but are we not contradicting ourselves when we say it is wrong yet we let it happen? Although there is a positive within something wrong there are negatives, such as, the fact that animals have a different molecular structure than we do. Animals do not only have different structure than us, but they are also unable to have some of the same diseases we are able to contract (Animal Testing). Even if we are using animals for disease we are both able to contract it has been proven within studies that rodents such as mice and rates only have a 43% success rate of finding a cure; 95% of the time humans has also been proven to not be able to react the same way as animals although it is was predicted to work (Cruelty
