Community colleges have served many as a means of cheaper education then the normal four year college. Many find this to be very beneficial and worth it as it save money and give the student time to think of his degree. This seems to be a downfall of a student’s success as it can lead to failure when attending a community college. Extending the years can over whelm a student and the struggles in finding a degree are some reasons why students drop out. Even though community colleges are useful to start a success full life and is true that is it cheaper. Community colleges can also lead a student to drop and this misconception can be overlooked by many because of all the pros are put out and not the cons. Many students at the end of high school wonder what they are going to do in life after high school. Some will go onto universities and some will not. Many will also attend community colleges after high school. Oblivious of the obstacles that will come when attending a community college. I started out doing high school courses when I passed them with A’s and B’s in high school but, because of my S.A.T. score I had to repeat the courses I once passed. Doing them over felt like a gamble this time not knowing the difficulty of the class given by the professor. While the semester went on I received decent grades but, not grades I had in high school. I felt the pressure and had no time of my own to spend which lead to exhaustion. With the general education added in it added more years of college then I wanted. “close to 70 percent of students who enroll in community college fial to complete a 2-year program in 3 years.” (Daniel Luzer) This made me think of how long it will take to reach my goal and overwhelmed
