CRISPR is a gene editing tool that allows scientists to change an organism’s DNA. CRISPR stands for “clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats” and has been around in different forms since 1987. Many scientists have different feelings about this tool due to the serious problems it creates if it doesn’t work out correctly. CRISPR has many scientists and who are not supporters but I believe that with the use of CRISPR the good outweighs the bad. CRISPR has mulitple upsides such as stopping unwanted diseases, the accuracy, and the cheap price point. CRISPR is a more effctive and more accurate way to genetically modify DNA, compared to other editors.
