Have you ever watch a show, movie, or listen to music on the radio? Ever constantly hear beeping noises and couldn’t understand what was going on? This happened because the parts which contain explicit language were getting beeped out because of censorship. Censorship has been the norm for music from early years till now. Censorship is used to block vogue language and foul content within a song during a live performance. Beeps are usually heard, this filter prevents an artist from dropping the F-word and other curse words while doing a live performance. However censorship can take away from an artist performance because of the distractions of the beeping noises. My feelings towards censorship vary because there are both positives and negative to censorship. No parent wants their child to hear the f word or see a woman’s butt cheeks bouncing up and down on their television screen. Since most kids tend to pick up on thing, they could instantly get inspire by the girl in the video or the artist and want to be like them when they grow up. Because of censorship some artist tend to make two versions of a song one using foul langue and one not using foul language. While this help ease the minds of parent it isn’t fair to the artist. Kids shouldn’t listen to regular adult music but music which the artist is somewhere near their age rang. a 14 year old girl is likely to make music about a teen age crush rather on the other hand a 30 year female is likely to write a song about relations and dating in an explicit way.
