Overall, it was not necessary for the receptionist to be commenting on a patient’s reason for attending, as her comments can be seen as rude and disrespectful by the Elderly Indigenous. This type of cultural discrimination is a contributing factor as to why Aboriginal people have lower life expectancy and poorer health
