How has drone technology impact our lives as a society? American citizens fear the lost of their privacy as the result of the use of drones. Many individuals are worried about the information drones collect as it flies over their property. This creates a burden on society. As mentioned by Paul, “the domestic use of drones to spy on Americans clearly violates the Fourth Amendment and limits our rights to personal privacy”. American citizens feel that their rights of privacy are being violated when drones are flying over their properties. As this technology continues to evolve rapidly, it is not only known to America but all over the world. It has become a multi billion million industry. United States was the first country to use true-armed drone in combat back in 2001 (Walker, J). Countries such as the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Iran, Turkey, and Azerbaijan have armed drones in their military; in total there is about 28 countries. Today drones are being used in the film industry. Many producer prefer to invest in drones because it allows them to capture videos from areas where they usually cannot, also it is cheaper. As the drone industry continues to evolve and releasing better drones the film industry has greatly benefit from this. The film industry claim that drones “could open up new possibilities of filmmaking in much the same way that lightweight cameras did in the 1960s” (Verrier, R). Businesses and individuals are investing in this technology, whether it is for recreational purposes or business purposes. As of August 29 2016, the Federal Aviation Regulations “Part 107” rule regarding small UAV systems, “has allowed anyone who follows the rule and the operations permits to fly drones for civil, commercial and recreational purposes in the United States” (Wynne, B). As a result of Part 107, in order for businesses to be able to fly they had to ask the Federal Aviation Administration for permission to do so. Because of Part 107 rule there is about 85,000 drones registered with the federal Aviation Administration for civil and commercial uses (Wynne, B). In about five years there will be more than 400,000 drones flying, civil and commercial
