Energy Drinks Should Not Be Consumed
Finals are coming up and students need a way to stay awake to maintain their energy; in order to maintain their energy through the rest of the semester, they consume energy drinks. Students that need to study for their finals can easily go to the local convenience store and purchase an energy drink to keep their body energized and awake. However, energy drinks are filled with many different types of ingredients, causing the body to react in a multitude of ways. After drinking a few cans they can lead to addiction, and eventually to more serious health consequences. From health issues, it leads to the outcome of the drink causing consumers to make poor choices. Contrary to popular belief, energy drinks are, in fact, unhealthy, and people should not be consuming them because of the massive amounts of caffeine, a harmful substance affecting the human body.
Due to the excessive amount of caffeine in energy drinks, they are becoming more addictive to students as well as adults. The caffeine is highly addictive, caused by the unnecessary amount that is provided in energy
