Examples throughout the essay shows that technology will take over peoples jobs, then the people will lose their jobs. "Techno-optimists tell people to relax- don’t worry, technology will produce lots of new jobs just like it did during the industrial revolution", the first human disruption caused by the industrial revolution in Britain lasted 60 to 90 years, depending on the historical research. Hess said "that was a long time for society to "right" itself, and lot of personal pain." Humans will be needed to perform tasks that require higher order critical thinking, innovation, creativity, high emotional engagement with other humans and trade skills requiring real-time problem- solving and manual dexterity. Humans will need to excel at doing those things that are, for now, uniquely human.
I choose to defend the prompt of my choice in more detail. In the 1870's, as the Civil War receded into memory, the United States became a leading Industrial power. Advances in technology and new access to the immense resources of the North American continent drove American Industrialization. This industrialization brought the growth of new American cities such as Chicago, and the arrival of a flood of immigrants from all over Europe to man the factories. During the Gilded Age, businessmen reaped enormous profits from this new economy.
My arguments, observations and opinions over chapter 9 are very strong. During the period of the economic transformation many events had occurred. This chapter demonstrates the power that the American Industrial Revolution had. Not to mention, how the Market Revolution reflected the increased output of farms and factories, the entrepreneurial activities of traders and merchants. In addition, to the creation of a transportation network of roads, canals, and railroads.

The industrial revolution was a curse as well as a blessing. while i was doing my research i came across many photos and articles of reasons why this was bad. as shown in the quote, “ You went down one step from the foul area into the cellar which a family of humans lived.” (Gaskell 290). is shown here the person is describing how bad the living situations were for the lower class.
After learning what groupthink means, do law enforcement agency have problems with the groupthink theory? Law enforcement agencies hierarchy is groomed from within the organization; however, in my opinion, they can be affected by the groupthink, which can create a crisis among officers. There are lots of young law enforcement officers becoming first-line supervisors, then middle managers and finally administrators. Sometimes promotional rank can lead to the separation of priorities occur between the street and the desk; consequently, the officers in the field can be affected by a supervisors realities about the streets versus what they already know. This doesn’t mean that the supervisor lack knowledge of the job; however, the officer knows

Something that was good about the industrial revolution was that there was more workers and people could get payed more. Things that were bad was that little kids could. That’s bad because kid get hurt for example, for kids who worked on farms would ride on horse rakes and easily fall off and get crushed. Kids would get overworked after working 12 hours a day.
