Shots Fired… For the good?
Guns are responsible for over 33,000 deaths, annually. Due to this, many people have their own opinion on the topic of gun control. Over the years, the topic of gun control has transformed from not so big of a deal to a topic so huge that it has the entire world erupted in a fray. As a whole, the topic of gun control has divided the world into two parts: one side supporting more gun restrictions, and the other side wanting gun control laws to be more tranquilized or loosened.
To start off, the topic of gun control has aroused many people to produce their own opinions. In total, 55% of people would like gun control laws to be made more strict, 13% of people want gun control laws to be made less strict, and 26% of people are content with the gun control laws. …show more content…

It has been proven that out of the recently mentioned “33,000 deaths caused by guns annually, about two-thirds of the gun-related deaths are suicides.” Furthermore, there were “15,872 homicides in the United States in 2014.” Out of those, “11,008 of said homicides were reported to have involved a firearm.” To be more precise, around 69% of all homicides committed in the United States in 2014 were said to have involved a firearm. Even though some people say they have ‘the right to bear arms,’ they may in fact be in the wrong.
