Mental Health Care Prices Mental health care is expensieve, we all know that. The prices for a single appointment with a therapist on average are $100-$200. These prices are only going to get higher over time. Mental health care prices need to be decreased. People with mental health problems are not motivated to make money, they lose their jobs, and because the prices are too high for most people to pay even if they are working they can not pay for their care. About 50% of people with mental health problems do not seek treatment and a big role in that is the high prices of said treatment. They struggle with lack of motivation.These are the people who are expected to pay over $5,000 just to get any hope at getting better. When these people are not motivated it is really hard for them to do their jobs and make the money they need to support their family and then they have to pay so much money for them to be able to get better. This means that for a person to get any better they need to pay $5,000-$10,000. The average person in ohio makes $46,800 a year, when you take away the prices of food ($13,000), and the average price of electricity ($2,200), and the prices of gas ($5,000), and all the other things that are essential for people to live they won't have enough money to pay for their mental health treatment. This means people or not going to be able to get the treatment they need and deserve. These prices are going to get higher over time and they are going to get harder and harder to pay.
