President Trump has made, yet again, another poor decision for our country. The U.S. embassy has been in a safe place for a very long time. Trump plans to change that by moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. By doing this, it would also make Jerusalem the capital of Israel, where some of our enemies are located. In my opinion, we shouldn’t move the embassy to Jerusalem because it would cause too many problems with our enemies, be too costly, and very difficult. Donald Trump says he wants to help make Jerusalem, Israel’s capital officially. Moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem would help to do that. No one has really considered Jerusalem, Israel’s capital. These leaders are Mahmoud Abbas, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Jordan’s king Abdullah. People fear that if he doesn’t change his mind soon it could set off a war, riot, or other violent things with the Palestinians and Arabs who aren’t very fond of us. Since Israel, even became a state, its been crawling with enemies around them. So, because we’re such strong allies with Israel, their enemies become our enemies. The Palestinians have always had it out for Israel. They have continued to decline Israel’s overtures for peace between each other. Israel tries to make peace by giving up land to the enemies that ask for it, but that’s never enough. Israel just keeps getting hit with more and more violence. They don’t even try to respond to Israel’s concessions. All they do is just keep bullying Israel into giving them more stuff. By giving them more stuff, it just makes Israel’s enemies even stronger. We just have to find out when the time comes and hope for the best. Lots of countries are big on religion too, just like we are. Of course, we’re free to whatever religion we want, but this could cause a problem for Israel if Jerusalem becomes their capital. Will their religious laws stay the same or will they be obliged to change? Jerusalem is split into different parts and Israel is controlling so this could play a big part in this.
