II. Working Thesis- Frequently the idea of raising minimum wage comes up. The increasing minimum wage to $15 an hour would benefit the economy greatly and provide financial stability to most citizens.
A. Minimum wage was established in 1938 to prevent exploitation, during the Great Depression people were desperate for work so employers to advantage and paid very little.
