A revolution is a promise to the people. It gives a chance for the people to change the government if they don't argue with it. During the 1700s the colonies did not argue on how the British government was treating them. The British government were taxing the colonies for almost everything they bought which unsettled the colonies. They thought that the British had too much power of them. The colonies finally decided that they wouldn't follow the British king, instead they want to be independent. The colonies fought against the government for what they believed was corrupt.
