After the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan, President Harry S. Truman faced a lot of dilemmas such as the many choices he had, how he felt about it, and the aftermath at the end of the war. Once Truman was aware of the atomic bomb also known as the Manhattan Project, he had to make a choice on whether to use it on the Japan or find another way to get them to surrender. It was a tough call to make, but he did what he had to do. Truman did take it to heart about killing millions of people for what their leaders did and after Truman’s presidential every president has or had the power to use the bomb that is known to be dangerous, but have not laid one finger on that big red button. Americans did not agree with the decision, during this time may believe that invasion was the way to go, but in cases like this sometimes one must see eye to eye to get the other to understand that it is their time to wave the white flag.
