In Missouri in 1993, 17-year-old Christopher Simmons, along with two younger friends,Charles Benjamin and John Tessmer conjured up a plan to murder Shirley Crook. The plan was to commit burglary and murder by breaking and entering, tying up the victim. The three met up in the middle of the night. Tessmer however dropped out of the plan. But Simmons and Benjamin continued with the plan. The two boys broke into the Crook’s home while her husband was away,they bound Mrs.Crook hands and covered her eyes. They put her into a car her to a state park and threw her off a bridge. There is other evidence that Simmons had shoved electrical wires in her mouth when they throw her off the bridge. By executing the capital crime committers it would keep the population down in the prisons. To all the people that are in prison for petty crimes are the only ones left. It’s not exactly ethical but it would work. By keeping that population down it would also mostly lower taxes for the state. By keeping the tax low that work keep the gas prices low and keep all the people happy. The death penalty saves people from serial killer from getting out of jail even at an old age having an influence on any other person to commit a murder. This study goes with this case because Christopher Simmons was bragging to people about what he had done. If he would have been put to death there would never be a chance of him getting out and hurting anyone ever again. The reason for this is that he went out and bragged by doing this shows he had no remorse for what he had
