University of North Florida and Sophia University may not be the right choice for you, but it is a considerable choice for some. Anthropology is the study of human societies and cultures and their development (Oxford Dictionary). Prerequisites are grades of “C” or above in the following class: Intro to Anthro. Major requirements are a “C” or higher in the following classes: Seminar in Anthropology, during your fall semester of junior year, Linguistic Anthropology, also during the fall semester of junior year, Principles of Physical Anthropology, during the spring semester of your senior year, Fundamentals of Archaeology, Survey Anthropological Theories, and Quantitative Methods in Anthropology. You must also take five electives, only being allowed two Foreign Culture Classes (University of North Florida). 8 hours of a foreign language, such as Japanese are required, unless you have taken 2 years of a foreign language in high school, then you may be allowed to take 6 hours worth of a foreign culture classes, such as Japanese Culture. To major in Anthropology, you must also minor in a subject, such as Asian Studies.
