KAILI HONG PER.3 THE ISLAMIC EXPANSION The early Islamic empire expanded in a couple of ways. One of the ways was the war. I found this evidence in document A where it says that the Muslims to fight gathered together to fight the Greeks. The Greeks would tie each others foots to each other so none of them would escape during the war.
The Islamic Empire was huge, large, and untied. The early Islamic empire expanded by fiercely attacking and conquering other lands, as well as uniting them. To start off, In Document A (which is reliable because it happens to be written by Muslim historian Ahmad al-Biladuri in the 800s) it talks about how they killed 70,000 people. Even girls helped in creating a bloodbath which shows how fierce and strong they were on a battlefield and how they easily took more lands.
Did you know that the Qur’an, the holy book of Islam, values human life so much that one life is considered the equivalent of all the lives in mankind? Islam had many other interesting rules like this in many areas, such as land ownership and self defense. Muhammad ibn Abdallah was one of the first people to hear about this new religion. Archangel Gabriel informed him that Allah was the one god, and after 2 years, Muhammad finally spread his words. At first, many people resisted his teachings, but soon thereafter, Islam began exploding in popularity.
Islam is a religion, so how do you think it came about. Well because of trade, military conquest, and political order. All of these subjects are why Islam spread so quickly. In document A, the passage was talking about trade. During 570, in the Middle East Islam spread so quickly through trade.
Long ago, during the 7th century, there was a man named Mohammed (PBUH) who lived in a city called Mecca. One day, while he was meditating in the cave of Hira, a voice came to him and said “Proclaim!” He then starts to preach and spread the teachings of a religion known today as, Islam. As he began to teach, he started to gain followers and supporters. Eventually, after many conflicts and Mohammed’s (PBUH) death, the religion was able to spread much bigger rather than the Arabian Peninsula.
He spoke the words in public, they were about how Allah is the one true god, and how charity is good and keeps one pure. Allah’s words, spoken through Muhammad, were written down into a book called the Qur’an. Muhammad had trouble spreading Allah’s words throughout Mecca, so he moved, along with his followers, to the city Medina. The people there liked Allah’s words and followed Muhammad when he returned to Mecca to try again. He succeeded and after gaining enough followers, he changed all the churches to mosques.
The Islamic Empire expanded rapidly around the period 600 C.E. to 1300 C.E. The Islamic expansion occurred through military raids, Jihad, tolerance, stipends and taxes. After Muhammad's death, in 632 C.E., the rise Islam overtook Afro-Eurasia. Muslim warfare was set for defeat, but became matchless and unconquerable. The battle between the Muslims and Greeks, the Muslims were presented as having no match against Greeks military shown in Doc A. As it states, “In this battle 24,000 Muslims took part,” (Doc A).

Islam is a religion that was established by a man named Muhammed and means ‘submission.’ As sources say, an angel approached Muhammad while he was meditating in a cave; and told him about the word of Allah, the only God. After Islam was born, and the word of the angel was the beginning of the Qur’an. Islam was established as a monotheistic religion, as Muslims would only believe in one God, and was first preached by Muhammad. Islam grew, and eventually, the first Muslim community was developed in Medina, a city in Saudi Arabia.
Muhammad had a strange visit to the caves by mount Hira. He came back and reported the news to his family saying that Gabriel told him that Allah was one God, and that he was sent from God to give him this message. In 610 CE, in Mecca (Arabia), Islam spread quickly because of the impact the trade routes had on them, the importance of the Qur’an, and the five pillars. To begin with, the trade routes played a very important role in the spreading of Islam. In the middle of the sixth century, Mecca was prosperous and important.
After the classical period the Islamic civilization showed an advancement in a variety of different aspects of their culture. They adopted a lot of it from earlier civilizations but had had a massive contribution on their part. The effect of this is that the Muslim culture and intellectual ideas were very long lasting. The achievements of the Islamic empires contributed to the development of their Golden Age.

Islam was first developed in 610 C.E. when an Arabian man named Muhammad traveled to Mount Hira. Muhammad was seeking a quiet place to pray, when the archangel Gabriel descended and showed Muhammad the way of Allah.
Muhammad refers to the people of the book, as in the people of the bible such as those in Spain believing in Christianity. By maintaining peace between these other religions, citizens of other faiths willingly contributed to the Islamic empire. They participated in the community like citizens of the Islamic faith, sharing ideas and partaking in trade. The religion was able to expand with the conversion of people from other religions, but more importantly the accepting nature of this religion made other Islamic innovations
Islam is the second biggest religion and fastest growing in the world today. Islam is a religion that Muslims follow and is a monotheistic faith regarded as revealed through Muhammad as the prophet of Allah. For Muslims, Muhammad is the last prophet and Abraham is the patriarch of the Qur’an, Bible and Torah. Islam is followed by over a billion people and Muslims make up approximately one quarter of the world’s population. Islam spread quickly during the 600’s trade, choice, and conquest.
Allah in Islam stands for God and carries the same meaning as in Christianity. In Islam, the angel Gabriel spoke to Mohammed and encouraged him to preach to the people and spread the word of Allah. Jesus was said to be the son of God but spoke almost exclusively to Jews (Woodhead, 2004, p 11). The prophets, Mohammed and Jesus, are looked at as symbols of God or Allah. These prophets serve as voices that guide their people 's actions through scripture.
