The Renaissance was an age of Rebirth, from what leads to many different time periods such as The Scientific Revolution, and the Period of Exploration. The Renaissance was an era of rebirth specifically from the Middle Ages. The Scientific Revolution was a change in the ways of the knowledge of science and the Period of Exploration were where journey and adventure were acknowledged. During the Renaissance, there were a lot of significant changes resulting from this time period such the arts, communication, and knowledge. Of the three things that have changed from the Renaissance, the most significant change resulting from this era is the knowledge and discoveries of the Scientific Revolution.

In addition, another large change in the Renaissance is the ways of the arts and the idea of a person 's individuality. This painting shows a poised woman with her mysterious smile which was what made this painting known for. The landscape had some greenery, but the plants and trees were blurred focusing on the woman in the picture (Leonardo da Vinci, Document 5). The famous Leonardo da Vinci painted this masterpiece, that is known today as the Mona Lisa. Painted in 1503, Leonardo da Vinci was a Renaissance artist in Italy. His painting the Mona Lisa was really famous and showcased the different art techniques used in the Renaissance. From the art styles and techniques used in the Renaissance, it showed significant improvement in technique for painting. Unlike older techniques such as the Middle Ages, the technique was very displeasing to the eye. The art technique used in this piece was a vanishing point, the pyramid shape of the human figure, better proportions, chiaroscuro, it was highly secular, realistic looking and not religious. From the usage of different techniques and a different display of meaning in the arts showcases that the arts can be used for art and for something of enjoyment. Finally, the biggest change in the Renaissance is the Scientific Revolution. The several changes in the Scientific Revolution are different studies such as the anatomy and astronomy. The illustration reveals a human anatomy body which is posed at a certain angle in a town landscape setting (Andreas Vesalius, Document 16). This woodcut is from the book of anatomy called On the Makeup of the Human Body which was written by Andreas Vesalius in 1543 . From the woodcut, as shown in the illustration, it clearly shows how our human anatomy looks like. From the human anatomy shown, it represents how it increased the understanding of science, towards biology for the human body. It also shows the shift in learning the science towards the different parts in our own bodies. Which shows an evolution of the information that is known from the past till the Scientific Revolution in learning about the human anatomy. The image represents the sketches of the universe by Claudius Ptolemy in 100 CE and the other drawing by Nicolaus Copernicus in 1543 . Ptolemy drew his theory of the Geocentric Universe, while Copernicus drew his Heliocentric theory of the Universe (Claudius Ptolemy and Nicolaus Copernicus, Document 18). The two different drawings of the universe are drawn by Ptolemy and Copernicus. Ptolemy drew the geocentric universe where everything revolved around the Earth, then Copernicus drew his version of the universe, it was heliocentric, where everything revolved around the sun.
