The Responsibility Of Victor's Monster

370 Words2 Pages
Most people are more inclined to feel sorry for things less fortunate than them. Victor’s monster is no exception. He was brought into this world with no one. The reader feels sympathetic to his loneliness in life, simple innocence, and skewed understanding of the world. Victor made a rash decision when he created his monster. He felt overly ambitious and was vying to prove himself. His previous engagements with the likes of Cornelius Agrippa led him to create a crime against nature. Victor never anticipated having to care for his creation and as a result the monster suffered. The monster was alone and scared with no place to call home. On top of all of this, he was horrifically ugly and had no chance of receiving any assistance from humans.
