At this time the American people began to adventure out of their modest way of living and explore fashion by letting them embrace themselves through the clothes they wore. During the twenties, American culture underwent many changes, for example men and womens fashion, which also influenced today's industry. Womens fashion not only changed their physical appearance but also brought out a new side of them mentally. The war greatly effected this time period since, “World War I was over, freedom, celebration, and frivolity ensued,” because of this, “young people simply enjoyed their life and the moment” (Schneider). Going out and celebrating allowed people to gain new senses of the styles available and allowed trends to be set. Because of new trends and styles being discovered “[they] [n]o longer [had] to wear tones of green, brown, and khaki” and they, “could just pick up whatever [they] wanted” (Schneider). The fashion industry also contributed to “[t]he 1920s [bringing] liberation [to] the female form” which allows women to be where they are today (Haq). Designer brands today formed from the “celebration of the fashion of the roaring '20s, the exhibit recounts the birth and development of Parisian haute couture from 1919 to 1929” (Haq). If it was not for the 1920’s today’s fashion would not be the same. As the times changed and more people began to test clothing and ideas there began to be more variety of clothing. These tests and experiments never stop and that is how these fashion choices advanced into today's style. In conclusion, this historical outbreak of ideas towards the fashion industry created a new kind of confidence in men and women that would forever change the lives of the people. Just like today older generations look down upon changes in society for example, music, fashion, and other activities. This would take place in this time period as well. The 1920’s youth did not allow the disapproval of some to set them back and stop enjoying life.
