Deciding to bring Rue into her alliance, Katniss forms a feminine archetype. Women working together in a time of oppression. Sadly, on Day nine, Rue is shot in the abdomen; causing her to die. Katniss places flowers over Rue’s body. Katniss wanted to show the people and Capitol that Rue wasn’t just a player in the game, she was an innocent, young human being. On the eighteenth day, Katniss and Peeta are the last two tributes standing, neither wants to kill the other; hence feelings. Katniss comes up with the idea that if the both eat the deadly nightshade berries; committing suicide. Another act of rebellion.
