The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
National Honor Society is a great opportunity for me. I heard that there is a lot of people who have good leadership and provide awesome ideas in national Honor Society. I would like to be member of this, acquire a great experience, and share my ideas to contribute volunteer, donations and so on. It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
Furthermore, by having the opportunity to be part of the National Honor Society and being able to showcase my qualities, I can see that the National Honor Society is a benefit of being involved and working hard in high
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
As a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society, I believe that I possess the qualities needed to be inducted. I am interested in joining the organization because I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I have achieved the Honor Roll every quarter since it was available in Elementary. In 6th grade, I earned the Westchester County Clerk’s Distinguished Student Award from Timothy C. Idoni. plus, on my last year at A.B. Davis Middle School, I have merited the Triple C award from the Westchester Attorney General.
It would be an honor to be among the exemplary students who represent the National Honor Society. The first time I heard about NHS was in the second semester of my freshman year. Ever since then I pushed myself to work hard. Thinking that by pushing myself harder to get that A in that one academically challenging class, putting on a smile every day, and getting better at time management while displaying character, scholarship, leadership, and service will help me to become an NHS student who represents the ideology of the club. In many environments, in and out of school, I believe I display those qualities.
Being a leader involves many different characteristics. A leader must set the example for all others in the group, because if they are to show up late to practice, there isn’t a reason that any of the other members should not do the same. A leader must take risks for the benefit of the group as well as make sacrifices for it. Becoming the leader of the group requires for them to be the most dedicated. They must work harder and not be afraid to lead the group.
The National Honor Society is based off of four pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Scholarship is one of the most important pillars to me. Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.
I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. I am so thankful to the many teachers who have considered me as a candidate for the National Honor Society. As I aspire to become a member of this organization, I will make it my duty to be an active member in my community and will maintain my leadership, service, character, and scholarship
There are many different views and perceptions on leadership and what it exactly means. This is because there are many different types of leaders and many different views on them. But the basic meaning of leadership is an individual who can select the right group of followers and influence them through their distinct gifts, abilities, skills and knowledge. Leadership is can mean different things to different people. To me, leadership is more than having a title and subordinates. Leadership is having the courage to make the right choices, engage others in a vision, and empower your subordinates with a shared purpose and to achieve positive impacts. Leadership can also be relational which means it takes teamwork, requires you to be able to work with others in various backgrounds and that may have difference perspectives. Leadership also requires continuous learning, discerned decision making, and savvy communication skills.
From my point of view , Leadership has more to it than I can possibly imagine. I define leadership as the art of enabling a group of people get to a specific destination. As a leader your main focus was to enable your followers lead theselves. As i think deeper i realise a person cannot choose to be a leader. I think a lot of the time people take on leadership positions without knowing.
