Anne Hathaway once said, “Loneliness is my least favorite thing about life. The thing that I'm most worried about is just being alone without anybody to care for or someone who will care for me.” Gatsby was always willing to do so much for Daisy. He did not care what he had to do he would do it just for her. Sadly, Daisy was not able to return the same things for Gatsby because she was married to Tom. Gatsby experienced the feeling of being alone because of Daisy. In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, The Great Gatsby it shows that Gatsby’s idea of love led to his loneliness ultimate demise as evidenced by Gatsby love for Daisy, when the argument happened, and Daisy’s feelings towards Tom and Gatsby.
