I am writing to express my concern regarding the visible amount of trash in our neighborhood. The surroundings of Dentonia Park and all the way to the Golf Club are filled with pieces of paper, cans, broken toys, packages and all the sort of unwanted objects on the grass, ruining the pleasant experience of walking in the park with the children. It is a duty of each citizen to preserve the city and it is not excusable to throw away garbage on the streets, however, a few measures could serve as friendly reminders of a person’s obligation. There is a lack of garbage bins in the park and on the sidewalks and this could be one of the reasons of why people are disrespecting the environment. If there is plenty of places to dispose the garbage properly,
What we need to do is recycle more. We need to keep our world clean and not full of trash. Some people just think it is alright to throw their garbage out the window of their car and think that nothing will happen. Well, that 's not true! Animals that see it think of it as food and once they get into it they may get stuck or get cut on the thing that you threw out.

The average American throws away approximately 185 pounds of plastic per year. ( use hand movements) Reid 2 Plastic bags are so light that when we throw them away they blow out of trash bags and end up in landfills, or in the ocean. Plastics bags takes approximately 10- 1000 years to decompose.
In the past years as humans have grown in numbers and achievements there was also a hidden problem that had grown, we always see the nice clean part of the city’s and our society. Have we ever stopped and thanked about where all the trash every home and business uses? All that trash must be taken somewhere far away from our eyes. Every city has different ways of dealing with the trash. Some can bury it and its other burns it and throw it somewhere else.
Now wouldn’t that be a tidy solution to a big problem? Gather together all the garbage, bundle it up and fire it off into space. Maybe just dump it into the Sun. We could live in a world without trash. There are just two problems: humans produce an enormous amount of garbage; and rocket launches are extremely expensive.
The 2009 documentary River of Waste, directed by Don McCorkell, attempted to encourage the people to make sure to have a cleaner river and not to litter it with trash. They are trying to encourage you to keep a clean river. It would be better to have a clean river and not one littered with garbage. One where people throw away the trash and recycle any type of cans or plastic. Not throwing it in the river because that would kill a lot of fish and make the river look nasty.
There are millions of dolphins out in the oceans and they are declining fast because people couldn’t take another 12 steps to get to the trash cans that are all over the place in cities. Teens are the ones who mostly litter. Kamilo, an island in Hawaii is surrounded by thousands pieces of trash. They now call that place the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It used to be a beautiful island but is now ruined by trash.
Meanwhile, the methods of waste disposal have improved over time. Also, that getting rid of garbage is quickly becoming a big problem due to our methods of waste disposal are only a temporary solution. Moreover; the waste that can’t decompose
[Obviously, incineration is not an effective way to save our environment. To really focus on the problem, we should have an eye, and sought out alternatives in order to reduce the amount of waste disposal in Hong Kong in the long term.] II. Alternative ways to cope with the disposal problem (The 4Rs) A. Reduce 1. Use or buy only what we really need - there is no waste to treat when there is no waste to begin with.
Obviously the development of producing plastic went to quick and people did not think of a unified and sustainable way of how to dispose the huge amount of plastic. Unfortunately many countries decided to dispose all the garbage into the ocean but also ship accidents are a reason why so much plastic accumulated in our ocean. Every year more than eight million tons of plastic waste leak into the ocean. A big issue nowadays is that most of the plastic which is produced in one year is used to make disposable items of packaging or other short lived products that are discarded within a year (Philosophical Transactions of The Royal Society, 2009).
INTRODUCTION The massive industrial and economic development in the 20th century has helped the population of the world to acquire a lot of things like computers, big buildings and other electronic and scientific gadgets which have helped them to make their life faster and more comfortable. We can travel across the world in a few hours at a jet speed and even within a city. We can move quite fast as we have never done in the past, with the help of inventions of 19th and 20th century. In industrial and metropolitan towns where we have huge factories and a large number of automobiles, the problem of pollution is eating our health in a way that many people today feels that whether we needed this sort of development which is affecting our health and mind in such an adverse way which is irreparable.
Recycling has become a very controversial issue all over the world for many different cultures. America has been arguing for decades on how to properly recycle materials and how to dispose of materials appropriately. Today, the amount of trash in landfills that could be recycled is ridiculous and very unhealthy for both adults and children. There are so many landfills around the United States, that many have been grassed over and made into parks for the future children in our community to play on. If we do not start becoming more conscious of our waste, American citizens are going to be living among trash.
Introduction People tend to consume a lot, when there is consumption, there is waste – and that waste becomes a big problem that needs taken care of, which costs a lot of time, space and resources. If not managed, in turn, the world that we live in will become a hazardous place for all living things. According to the World Bank, people throughout the world, “spend $2.3 trillion a year on food and beverages alone” (Global Consumption Database, 2018), that is quite a lot. In addition to that, the world count mentions that, “we throw out over 50 tons of household waste every second. A number that will double by 2030”
