Immigration in America is nothing new and it has had an impact on society for many years. People from all over come to America for a fresh start and to get away from any problems. You can’t really blame them for wanting to get away from where ever and wanting to start over. As George Takei talks about his experience as a Japanese-American and his view of the American Dream. Immigrants have many differences while in America.
The linear model described above is widely accepted not only with regard to economic assimilation of immigrants, but also in the field of health research, which focuses on health outcomes of immigrant assimilation (Portes & Rumbaut, 1996; Rumbaut & Weeks, 1996). However, the linearity of immigrants' health assimilation is reversed when compared to economic assimilation. Studies on immigration and health report that upon arrival in the host country immigrants are likely to be healthier than the native-born population (McDonald & Kennedy, 2004; Akresh, 2007). This phenomenon has been termed in the literature the "healthy immigrant effect". Such studies have clearly demonstrated that, on average, the recent immigrant population has lower birth
Immigration has always been a major part of American history. Each year, hundreds of thousands of people travel to the United States in search of a better life. Of the 1.49 million immigrants who traveled to the United States in 2016, 150,400 immigrants were from Mexico. There have also been many people from Mexico who have immigrated illegally to America, with 5.6 million Mexican unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S. in 2015 and 2016. The large scale of immigration, both legal and illegal, has brought up issues such as national security and the U.S. economy.
Many immigrants coming to America in the early 1900s came for a better life. Getting a job at the Triangle Shirtwaist Company was highly desired due to the nice building in which the factory was located (Zwonitzer). Most immigrants, even those as young as fourteen, worked to earn money to support their families in the new country (Zwonitzer). Once the immigrants arrived in America they started working and many realized conditions were not always better than what they had left behind, and no matter how hard they worked, there was never enough money.
Why has college become the norm? Many would simply answer that a college education may be the only alternative to a successful life, arguing that everyone should attend college no matter what circumstances they are under. Others may debate that dropping out of college should be a decision made by someone in order to better their lives. This nation should eliminate the preconceived notion that college is for everyone, because although many teens attempt to further their education, some seem to fall short due to other circumstances. Many may not realize, but Americans are amongst the same countries that have high drop out rates.

He conveys this through the use of surveys, data, and facts from multiple sources. In the second paragraph he took a 1986 survey that concluded that a lot of foreigners achieved success in this country in difficult positions such as engineering and entrepreneurship. Two separate studies’ discussed in the sixth and seventh paragraphs dispel common beliefs that immigrants take jobs away from natural born citizens. The studies concluded that the exact opposite of popular opinion, immigrants in fact benefitted the economy for employers, employees, and the US economic position.
The right to allow immigrants that are legal citizens of the United States shall be allowed to become President of the United States. This Amendment needs to be part of the Supreme Law of The Land, since the United States allow all people to have the same rights as others. The United States should do the same for immigrants when it comes to being a candidate for president. This would allow immigrants to run for president and will be a massive accomplishment in the United States.
First of all, Immigrants have had several negative impacts on American society. For one thing, the immigrants took jobs from people who born here.
