This picture shows that Hitler was powerful than everyone else. The picture also shows that the Holocaust had clarified the consequences of racism and also prejudice on a society. Hitler had the authority to take over the Jews. The black and white in the picture represents the tough times that the Jews went through. It also represents the depressing conclusion that nobody had cared that Jews were being executed. The pile of corps represents the thousands of people that were killed during the Holocaust. The black and white smoke in the background represents the smoke from the gas chambers that were used to kill most of the Jews. Frank was Jewish and was born in the German town of Frankfurt. Anne has a younger sister, Margot. Anne was three and a half years older than Margot. At the time the economic crisis was Hitler’s rise to power had put an end to the family’s carefree life. Otto Frank (Anne Frank’s dad) and Edith Frank (Anne Frank’s mom) decided to leave Germany like the other German Jews. The Franks moved to the Netherlands and had found a home on the Merwedeplein. Anne and her sister go to school, while their dad works in his business and Edith stays at home and takes care of the house. The Franks try to emigrate to England and to the U.S.A as the threat of war in Europe increase, but failed to do that. On the first of September, 1939 Germany invades Poland and World War II starts. On July 5th, 1942 Margot Frank gets a call about the family going into work camp, which is when they go into hiding. Anne and seven others hide in the secret annex on the Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam. After about two years in hiding all of the seven people and Anne are found and deported to concentration camps. Out of all of the eight people (including Anne, Edith, and Margot Frank) dies. Otto Frank is the only one to
