There was even another “Secret Revelation of John.” In this one, Jesus wasn’t a divine warrior, but someone who first appeared to the apostle Paul as a blazing light, then as a child, an old man, and some scholars say, a woman. So why did the revelation from John of Patmos make it into the Bible, but not the others? Nevertheless, there are various functions and visions that Jesus ushered in with roughly thirty different names, titles, and images. When you read the book of Revelation it gives informed details of His character and nature, and the work that Jesus performed.Therefore, it is vital for each person to study the word for themselves so they will not become tossed to and fro or become confused and lose their soul in this sin sick world. “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).
I have enjoyed my journey into the study of the book of Revelation. Through my research it has opened up a desire for more insight into the book of Revelation. I was once like some of the others I heard so much talk about the destruction and doom, but never the beautiful side of God glorious promises to His chosen elect people.
