John Adams once said, “Our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”. In other words, the constitution was based on the principles and values of those of a virtuous and God- fearing people. The United States Constitution limits the power of the government by limiting authority, creating a morally correct, effective government. The Bill of Rights limits the government's control over its people, without the Bill of Rights we would be an unjust nation. The Bill of Rights sets a standard for people to follow, “It sets rules for due process of law and reserves all powers not delegated to the Federal Government to the people or the States. The Seven Articles of the Constitution limits our government by establishing the powers of Congress as seen in Article one. We see it in article one: By making up our democracy, it shows us our standards, law making, gives Congress its powers and limits, and declares war. The reason the seven articles were formed was to form a system to what the people's liking were at that time. It was there “to establish a foundation for government based on the following seven principles, which work together to protect individual rights and liberties, while having a strong central government that can work for the good of the nation.” Since the seven articles are there to establish government, we see each and every article contributes to a system of limited government.
