What did you like about this script?

There were so many great points about this script that I enjoyed. The story is engrossing, dark, ominous and exciting. It was hard to pull myself away from the script to even take notes. One of the things I found the writer did extremely well was uncoiling Chancie’s character throughout the script.
Her character is cunning, smart, mysterious, alert, intimidating and a bit unpredictable. Chancie drives the narrative forward with a sense of urgency and caution that emulate her familiarity with this world, but also in a way that shows her character is harboring both a fear and guilt from her past.
Though there is clear history between both Peter and Daniel it was interesting to see the manner in which Daniel cared and protect Chancie not only out of respect and care but also out of a kind of gratitude. Even in her bar, The Wheel, the patrons there all seemed to dote on Chancie out of an unspoken code. Could all those in Chancie’s life be people she’s helped? …show more content…

Though her full connection was not entirely clear, but the information the writer gives makes it abundantly clear that whatever the connection is, it’s a dark one. From the branches on her back to the threatening nature of her father, Augustus and Chancie’s remarkably unique ability to ‘push,’ it just left me wanting to read more.
The pacing in this script is balanced well with the tension Chancie and her team faces as the deadline for the deal grows closer. Likewise, I was extremely impressed with the mounting level of suspicion surrounding Babec’s wife and the mysterious tie her character had to the children at the
