One individual that’s determined, focused, and compassionate was Bunny Thompson. He reminds me of Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant was very committed and always brought his best game consistently. Kobe, despite being in pain, was always concentrating on bettering himself by being healthy. Along with being very compassionate towards the people he surrounded himself with. In those few ways, I believe that Kobe Bryant and Bunny Thompson are alike. Kobe and Bunny are very similar to each other by being very goal oriented. Despite having his issues, Bunny always thinks of Nasir. For example, Bunny has issues with fitting in and being comfortable with others. Yet he was still making sure that his best friend was okay. In the text it mentions “I miss my friend, I want us to be cool again, and it seemed like this might help us get there. This highlights that Bunny still thinks of Nasir. Bunny was willing to ruin his and Keyona’s relationship to be friends with Nasir again. Bunny really will do anything to make him and Nasir okay. In other words, Bunny cares a lot for Nasir’s feelings even if it costs him some of his happiness. Bunny is very determined and will do anything despite the pain to accomplish his goals. For example, Bunny was running to fight off his thoughts. The text claims “Ignoring the ache blossoming in my calves, I make it up.” This demonstrates how Bunny will push himself to greater lengths and surpass his goals.
