“Geraldine Moore: The Poet,” “The Smuggler,” and “Initiation,” are all very three unlike short stories. In these three stories the outsiders Tasso, Millicent and, Geraldine all have one goal in life, be part of a group or be known. The three authors of the short stories are diverse in all ways, but when reading the stories it feel that the authors planned the three stories to be related in one way. Geraldine, Tasso, and Millicent the outsiders, are all three very divergent people, but they all have one goal in their everyday life, to have more power. A girl called tracy become friends with Mill and both try to get into the sorority. In the sorority there very streak rules to get into the sorority. Mill friend tracy said, “You’ll change, whether you think you will or not. Nothing ever stays the same”. Tracy is saying that the sorority will change Mill and that nothing will ever be the same like have many friends. Millicent thought about what Tracy said and how horrible it would be to join the sorority. Bev the vicious sorority said to Mill “ Don’t laugh or talk back or try to be funny, or she’ll just make it harder for you, and believe me, she’s a great one for doing that”. The sorority is not a easy to get into and the rules are very streak. Mill and Tracy was restricted many things to do in and out of school.
