“The Day it Rained Cats” and “The Space Rock” are great stories that will surely hook any reader the story! “The Day it Rained Cats” is about a girl named Sheera who has to overcome an obstacle, and the grandmother who must make a life-changing decision. “The Space Rock” is about a family who must make a big decision to either make millions on a meteorite, or just give it to the museum. “The Day it Rained Cats” and “The Space Rock” have very big similarities and distinct differences. One thing that is similar between “The Day it Rained Cats” and “The Space Rock”is the theme. The theme in “The Day it Rained Cats” is you need to think hard about important decisions. This is significant because this is the event where Sheera, her grandmother, and her family knew they had to tell their grandma to think whether she was going to give up levving. When the family met up with her, she was able to make the decision to stop doing it. She knew she would not be able to lev anymore, for this happened to everybody when they got to a certain age that levved. This is shown when the family must decide whether to keep, give away for free, or sell for millions, the meteorite.
