The Special Friendship
How would one feel if they have never been introduced to new places? What if they didn’t have enough money that they can’t afford food? Laura Schroff and Maurice Mazyck show how a simple act can change someone's life from just about nothing. Even if one were born in different generations they can still become best friends from a little act of kindness. Money isn’t just what everyone needs, sometimes it’s love. Generations can learn a lot about each other which means that anyone can learn stuff from different people. Maurice Mazyck and Laura Schroff learned a lot about each other. Laura taught a lot of things to Maurice, and he taught a lot of things to her.
In the story "A Simple Act", author Tyler Jackson describes how Laura met Maurice, and how Laura impacted Maurice’s life.“ First, Laura introduced Maurice to new places, new ideas, and new possibilities.” (p.5).This is important because it shows how Laura introduced Maurice to new things that he has never seen before.
