The purpose of British policy in the Colonies in North America had started in 1700. This policy aimed the consolidation of the colonies, or plantations, the limit of law… as called profit from the colonies. In the mid to late 1600s, Great Britain approved a lot of positive activities such as when the ships to transport goods from colonies need go through Great Britain first. It requires everything from ship’s papers, newspapers, letters were used taxed. The tax will apply for British colonies and Plantations in America. The Stamp was to be proof the tax has been paid. Under this act, everyone who used or purchased need to buy the stamp. The purpose to creating “The Stamp Act” is “expensed of defending, protecting and featuring the fame”. The tax will support of British soldiers protecting of the American colonies. It was the straight tax imposed by the British government, without the acceptation of the colonies or plantations. At that time, the Act gave the government of the British control of the colonial currency system. It collects and increases the money and put the colonists at a further economic disadvantage in their trade relations with British merchants. That’s why American colonist lost a lot of money because of these regulations, but there were some benefits that offset the losses.
