In many ways, money and wealth can change a person's personality and how they act. “The Stolen Party” by Liliana Hecker is a fiction book that shows how rich people can act differently from others who aren't as rich. The theme is mostly about how rich people act differently from others. I chose many pieces of evidence to support my claim, which tells how the rich people act compared to others. In the fiction story called “The Stolen Party” by Liliana Hecker, one piece of evidence that was found according to the story was from page 1 section 2, it states, “‘I don’t like you going’ she told her ‘it's a rich people’s party.” According to this evidence, the mother is saying how she doesn't want Rosaura going because it's a “rich people’s party”. …show more content…

This shows the connection between how rich people and others can think and act differently about one another. Overall, these two pieces of evidence show why rich people and others can act differently. In “The Stolen Party” by Liliana Hecker, there is one piece of evidence that correctly supports the claim because according to the story on page 3 section 3, “‘What employee?’ said the girl with the bow. The employee in a shop? ‘No,’ said Rosaura angrily, ‘My mother doesn't sell anything in any shop, so there.” Also, later in the story on page 3 section 6, it states, “... and when no one was looking she kicked her in the shin” This evidence shows how the rich girl with the bow was so rude to Rosaura and kept asking questions about her mom being an employee. She also rudely kicks Rosaura in the shin and walks away. This shows how rich people and their kids are different and can be rude at times because of where they stand.
