From chapters 19-21, Cycle 4, Shelby had received a phone call from the stalker. The phone called was then traced by the police and they found out that the call came from a public phone in the mall. The police checked the CCTV cameras and Shelby noticed it was his jacket and his hat, it was Eric Green. Later on, after Eric was in custody, Shelby went to a party and a person named Jason Puckett walked Shelby home, she noticed that Eric Green wasn’t the stalker, but Jason Puckett
The final two chapters of the book are saddening, but heartwarming at the same time. Sol does pass away, and Alex narrates what happened in the days before, of, and after his death. Judy and Sol talked for hours a day, 2 weeks straight, and were laughing, crying, and enjoying themselves. Alex, Laurie, and Judy sat by Sol’s side as his heart rate monitor was going crazy, and his last phrases were telling Judy to be happy, Alex to kiss Laurie (and her to kiss him back), and giving Alex a tip on how to make guitar strings last longer.
Theme 1.1: Envy. In Knowles’s coming of age book, “A Separate Peace”, there are lots of mishaps that happen and the beginning of these mishaps is when one of his main characters, Gene, starts thinking malicious things about Phineas, his friend. It started out as a small inkling of envy, suddenly later on in the book, it turned into something that resembled a fractious disaster. As the chapters progress, Gene shows the readers his way of thinking towards Phineas, by describing his “unexpected excitement” (27) when Phineas was about to receive a scolding from Mr. Patch-Wither, the substitute headmaster of Devon during the summer session. Surprisingly, when Phineas (aka Finny) further explained why he wore the school tie as a belt,
1) Uncle Hammer is Papa’s brother. He is also the uncle of the logan children. Uncle hammer has a gun and some anger issues (not a good combo). He wants to go talk sense into Mr.Simms for what she did to him, but Mr. Morrison talks him out of it. He has the same car as Mr. Granger, just a newer and more advanced model.
After Luffy discovers that all of the gears and stress he has put on his body has caught up to him. Similar to Roger he is sick with an incurable disease and he will die in a few more months. The strawhats finally make it to the end of the Grandline, to Raftel, where Luffy finds the Rio Ponoglyph, which explains what the One Piece truly is. In order to get to Raftel, Luffy had to fight and defeat each of the four yonko including finally returning his hat to Shanks. At one point the marines surround the strawhat crew preparing to open fire on the ship.
Quickwrite #1- AQWF In this part of the book, Paul and his friends are out on the front re-wiring the front line with new barbed and communication wires when they hear the shrill cries of injured and badly wounded horses. Additionally, during the bombing, one of their soldiers becomes badly wounded in his leg and will most likely die or never be able to walk again. There is a similarity between this young soldier and the injured horses, made apparent by the comparison the author makes between the two. The young soldier, while human, is helpless after getting injured and will likely die if he is not helped soon.
As the sun rises on the Great Plains, the rays gently touch Iktomi’s eyes, waking him up. Iktomi is dressed the part of a Lakota Brave, but inside he does not act the part of a Lakota Brave. He is a trickster; self-absorbed, vain and dishonest, eventually driving away any friendly smile come to be his friend. Navigating the Plains alone, he has become an outcast and constantly makes silly decisions further adding to his infamous reputation.
"(Gilb, 280) When Erick decides to throw the note that the baseball player wrote to his mother on the ground this also represents Ericks acceptance for Roque. The title “Uncle Rock” has an important theme because Roque ends up become the rock in the family, he has no intentions of leaving Erick and his mother so he becomes the stone of the missing piece of their family. The symbolism in “Uncle Rock” helps the reader find the overall theme of happiness, this theme is also supported by the
1) In this quote, the term being used is metaphor because Life and Game are two completely different things but they are being compared to each other like if they are similar. 2) I think the author’s purpose for using this term is that he explains that Holden feels alone because he doesn’t feel like he is winning. 3) This quote revolves around the overall theme because it shows that Holden is isolated from everybody around him. 4) • I really like this dislike this idea because Holden is wrong you need to play according to the rules to win not be on the winning side. • I think this idea seems important because it is an inspiration quote to live by even though Holden doesn’t believe it; this is how life goes it is in reality.

During the discussion, I didn’t talk as much as I should have because for the questions that I didn’t raise my hand for I didn’t have an opinion for the discussion at hand, or at least I didn’t have a solid response that could be backed up with the text or generate more discussions among the group. For the two times that I did respond to someone’s response, I felt that I had a view worthy of being shared among my group, and this was supported when some of my peers agreed with the point I made and added their own view on top of mine. But for my second response, it was more like two responses which were included in one as a result of my wanting to respond to something that was mentioned before but that I wasn’t called on for, and for the most recent response at the time. The story closes with the image of a giggle to further convey to the reader that Mary’s mentally unstable.
It’s only after Connie realized that Arnold knew everything about her, yet she did not know him, that she started paying more attention and realized that Arnold and his friend were older than they looked and she began getting scared. When Connie refuses to go with him and asks them to leave, the other side of Arnold; the cruel and cold one is brought out, thou he tries to hide it behind his laughter, it is still visible and this is disturbing. By now Arnold’s persuasion has failed, and that’s when he resorts to threatening Connie, threatening to break down the glass door, or burn down the house to force her to come
Although Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid displays some of the typical aspects of the Western genre, such as having action and adventure and taking place in an untamed frontier, it mostly depicts aspects that are not typical of the Western genre. Unlike many Westerns, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is not overly violent. There are some shooting scenes, but the movie is mostly focused on the debacles that Butch Cassidy and Sundance get themselves into. In the beginning of the film Butch and Sundance encounter many situations that could have turned into a big shooting scene but they don’t. An example of this is when they were being chased down, and instead of confronting them and having it turn into a big fight, they instead flea to Bolivia where they won’t be tracked.
