In “ The Story of Anne Frank” a person vs. fate conflict is being displayed. This conflict is materializing between Anne along with the grueling rules of her new life. A conversation between Anne and her father states, “ Mr.Frank. It doesn't matter. I don't want you ever to go beyond that door. Anne. [ Sobered] Never…? Not even at nighttime, when everyone is gone? Or on Sundays? Can I go down to listen to the radio? Mr. Frank. Never. I am sorry, Anneke. It isn't safe. No, you must never go beyond that door.” Goodrich, Hackett page 711. Anne is now starting to realize that “hiding” actually means having the most basic privileges stripped away. Anne is now confined into being inaudible furthermore, motionless for hours just to protect themselves.
