Were Nietzsche to write to Mill discussing “The Subjection of Women,” he would praise Mill’s notion that history does not indicate the proper morality for society. Mill describes gender inequality. Mill indicates that historical precedence fails to indicate just ideals for society’s future. Nietzsche would agree with Mill, given that in his essay, Nietzsche
