The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson explores in many ways how “not giving a fuck,” or not trying, can lead to a better life. Mark Manson provides many topics on how not giving a fuck will help you throughout your life. One of those examples, which is mentioned numerous times throughout the book, is ignoring or denying our problems. When we ignore and deny our problems, obviously it creates more problems overall. Mark Manson created a book that relates to the topic “thinking and rethinking” for numerous reasons, but all that would lead us to a better life. The example he gave was running 26.2 miles willingly and running 26.2 miles while you and your entire family is held at gunpoint. It could create problems that could have been avoided from the start if people just understood and acted on the concept of thinking and rethinking. Mark Manson authored this book which hit the point that life is difficult. He wants people to understand that life is difficult, but we should accept that rather than ignore/deny it. When we ignore or deny it, it could send you into the same hole that Adam Grant was talking about. All three of these books, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and Everything is Fucked by Mark Manson, along with Think Again by Adam Grant give many reasons to back up the idea of thinking and rethinking. Thinking about problems, as in prioritizing problems as well as choosing how to respond to a situation, helps with the outcomes for a better life.
