The symbol of fire also contributes to the theme of knowledge. As mentioned before, the the story of Prometheus is about the Greek God who was always thinking of the future. He had a plan to make the world a wiser place. The guy ends up going to another Greek God, Jupiter, and begs him to give fire to all of the people who were shivering because they had no heat.
