(7)The girl with the red coat - The girl wearing the red coat is a young Jewish girl. The red coat is the only coloured object in this black and white film. Schindler sees her from over a hill while the Jews are being gathered up in the Ghettos. To Schindler, she represents the innocence of the Jews being slaughtered. This is the monument when Schneider realized that innocent Jews are being killed by the Nazis and he is a part of it. Later, he spots her in a pile of exhumed dead bodies, and her death symbolizes the death of innocence.

(9) Use of tombstones as a road- The road through the Plaszów labor camp is paved with headstones that have been taken from Jewish cemeteries. This road actually existed during the holocaust and adds accuracy to this movie. Moreover, this is a symbol for the destruction of the Jewish race. The Nazis are showing that they are unsatisfied with killing all the Jews but they want to erase them from existence.
