Tempest didn’t go looking for trouble. Well, strictly speaking, that might not have been true. At least, she didn’t ask to be singled out by a bat-shit crazy alchemist. She didn’t go actively looking for homunculi to capture and use her as a bargaining chip against her father. Trouble found her first and when it turned tail and ran, she followed with a glint in her eyes and vengeance in her heart. All fancy talk aside, though, Tempest had shit luck and didn’t know how to quit when she was ahead. “What do you want?” She demanded rudely. “Your petty tricks don’t faze me.” “I was planning on taking you hostage, actually.” Envy drawled. Tempest rolled her eyes. “Lovely.” She commented dryly. “Don’t you think we should get on a first name basis? I make it my business to know the name of my attackers, as you have obviously been a good boy and done your research.” “I already know your name, so that’s not a problem.” He remarked. “Well I don’t know your name, so I’m not really up to the whole hostage thing. Anyways, everyone knows that I don’t go by that name. My name is Tempest Ashley.” She said. “That’s the thing about being taken hostage- it’s not optional. “And where’s your leader, I want to meet them.” “How do you know I’m not the leader?” Envy said. Tempest scoffed. “I wouldn’t trust you with a goldfish, much less to lead a group of power-hungry maniacs.” “Hilarious.” Envy said. “But, really, why not me?” “Well,” she said thoughtfully. “For one thing, typically, leaders sit back and let others take care of the dirty work- you know, like kidnappings. Sound familiar?” “Not in the slightest.” He replied smoothly. “Continue.” “And you don’t really seem to put up with much shit.” She said. “You like Greed about as much as I do- which is to say, you completely and utterly despise him. If you were the leader, you would just get rid of him.” “Fair enough.” Envy mulled over Tempest’s words. “I’ll take you to her. She’ll want to meet you anyways.” Tempest smirked victoriously. “Take me to your leader.” She commanded mockingly. “Watch it.” Envy said lightly. “Yeah, yeah.” She sighed as he cut her chains. She rubbed her wrists with a pout as she stretched, hopping up to stand next to Envy. “Truth!” She complained. “Did you have to make them so tight?” “Yes.” Envy said smugly. “I
