People would remark that love is indicating happiness or gratefulness but never state the fact that love can even be overpowering and blinding. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a tale about a teenager who has been fond of his “love” Rosaline until he stumbles upon a girl, who is known to be Juliet. Romeo and Juliet would do anything to be together and would show affection that one loves more than the other such as death. Love can best be described as blinding and jokingful.
Love has always been known to give happiness and never been brought up how love can be blinding. For instance, Juliet states to the nurse “O serpent heart hid with a flowering face! Did ever dragon keep so fair a cave?” (III.ii.74-75). This quote is important to keep thought of because some men can be very open minded and pleasing, but men only care about getting woman pregnant and leaving them afterwards. A complete definition of love being a joke can allow us to understand how people are very self centered.
