The Three Main Components Of The Air Conditioning System

794 Words4 Pages

Air conditioning means, the air conditioning for the maintenance of the specific conditions of temperature, humidity (moisture in the air) and the level of dust inside a closed space. The conditions that remain are dictated by the need for the conditioned space is intended. The air conditioning system removes heat leaking into the structure from the outside and deposits it outside the structure where it came from.
A basic air conditioning system consists of three main components:
• Compressor: compresses the low pressure refrigerant (low temperature) to high pressure (high temperature). This conversion increases the boiling point to higher temperature levels, which facilitates the removal of heat brought by the outside air.

• Condenser: This component receives gas at high pressure …show more content…

History of Air Conditioning
A brief account of the progress in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning stands as understanding
Ancient Egypt - Ancient Egyptians are loosely credited as being the first to use evaporative cooling by hanging damp cloth or reeds in windows and doors. As the wind blew through the wet materials, home air cooled.

Ancient Rome - wealthy citizens learn to aqueducts route through the walls of their homes. The flow of water has cooled evaporative air qualities.

1758 - Benjamin Franklin and John Hadley discovered that the evaporation of volatile liquids such as alcohol can cool an object to the freezing point of water.

1851 - Dr. John Gorrie patents his invention using air blown over ice for cooling hospital rooms. Their idea is based on the theory that the hot air contained in hospitals disease, so that the cooling air would create a healthier
