Religion has been stitched together by generations of traditions and family customs. The three main religions are pieces of fabric that are sewn together to form new ideas. Some believe that a specific religion was created from others. Testaments, traditions, and tenets have originated for the three main religions (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism), but did these three religions originate from the same god? Christianity is the religion based on the teachings of and the person, Jesus of Nazareth. Christianity has shaped many traditional holidays such as Easter and Christmas. Judaism is the monotheistic religion of the Jews; it has lead to the constitute of the multiple days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Rich). Islam, a monotheistic religion, teaches that there is only one God and that Muhammad is a messenger of God. Islamic culture celebrates Ramadan and Eid al-Adha (“Islamic Holidays”). The quote “Who among the gods is like you, LORD?” emphasizes that they believe their god optimum compared to any of the others (“Compare Translations”). Jews praise their god, Jehovah, who they believe is the one true god. As stated in the Torah, the Jewish holy book, “Who is like you- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (“Compare Translations”). This presents their thoughts of their god, the one deity. Muslims believe in Muhammad, the one who sends messages to God.
