The Tragic Hero In Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'

103 Words1 Pages
Macbeth is afraid for many reasons. Lady Macbeth convinced him to murder King Duncan, and the crime leaves Macbeth with a lot or regret. He also recently hired someone to kill Banquo, his best friend. Banquo’s ghost greets Macbeth at the banquet, giving him quite a fright. Macbeth is very afraid that Banquo’s ghost is coming back to harass him about his wrongdoings. Macbeth is also afraid that Fleance will inherit the throne and become king. I think Macbeth should talk to someone like a counselor about his problems, since it is clearly difficult for him to keep his emotions bottled up inside.
